To earn money during their time in Laundi, Shauna, Katherine and Mike become Zana's newest employees. While Katherine works with Zana, Fesmer begins to teach Shauna a bit of his "natural magic," dismaying and angering Jareth

Zana and Katherine develop a strong working relationship, much to the frustration of Arkahn. Fesmer tries to get down to the business of "pig pie delivery," but does Mike understand the meaning of 'mute friend'?

In the wake of the Undying attack, Katherine and Shauna try desperately to save Mike's life, but the Laundians are unsure if there is any hope. Zana decides to seek aide from an old friend at University, though doing so could expose everyone.

Mike Archer has treated his time in Laundi as a cross between a strange dream and a live-action video game. His actions have cost him his consciousness. Will they cost him his life? Mike's fate is revealed in this episode.

After recovering from his coma, Mike struggles to come to terms with what has happened to him. Shauna, Fesmer and Jareth decide to take him to a brikka game in an attempt to cheer him up, but all does not go as planned.

While the others are at the Brikka game, Arkahn and Kath conflict over how far a good person can go to help a friend.

Mike proposes a way to repay his debt to Zana, but everyone seems to have differing opinions and are ready to fight about it. Meanwhile Shauna tries to learn more about the meaning of her nightmares.

It is nearly the end of the year in Laundi. It is a time of renewal, when the Odi surges and so does the desire to celebrate. The Festival of New Life is the celebration that marks the beginning of five days of fun for everyone... and you cannot go to the party alone.

Silver Night approaches, and with it comes Shauna's best chance at casting Shift... but she still can't quite put the pieces together. Meanwile, Zana suggests a day away from Laundi -- she closes the shop and everyone gets a great chance to enjoy themselves before saying goodbye.

Having said her goodbyes, Shauna prepares to cast Shift and bring her and her friends' adventure to a close. Fortunately, all goes exactly as planned. Heh. Yeah, right.
